Be Your Own Super Hero!

I meant to post this yesterday, but with school starting the time just got away from me.  Happy November! I love a new month because it's like a new start. Time to focus on new goals (or keep up with old ones).

I ran my 5k on Saturday! I did okay but no PR. I finished in 27:59 which is pretty good considering I was coming down with something and running a fever! I don't know if that's why, but I have sort of mixed feelings about racing after doing that. Maybe it's because I'm such a competitive person by nature. I don't like to be beat! Ha! Who does, right?! I'm trying to focus on the fact that I'm really only competing against myself, but let me tell you I got PISSED when someone would pass me. But anyways, I finished 2nd in my age group, and 20something overall (out of about 250 people). I'm going to register for the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving, and I'll try to reform my opinion on racing after that. I really do think I prefer running by myself though.

So, the title of this blog...  that's how I feel when I'm running. I feel like a Super Hero! And as the miles go by, I feel better and better. The first mile is definitely the worst, and sometimes the 2nd mile isn't much better.  But by the time I reach the 4th mile I feel like I could just go and go forever! It's seriously the most amazing feeling in the world!

And then there's school. Ugh! I really don't think I'm gonna make it through this semester. Normally, I LOVE school, and studying in general.  But I seriously think I bit off more than I can chew with these classes. And actually, I should stop procrastinating and go work on my Humanities assignment. Peace out!
